Skibba is sounding a bit tired nowadays, but Shotta & Fun have both got new bars.
Well worth a listen.

This needs NO introduction. Just play it.

Again, forgot to post yesterday, so here’s the first of today. Wiley does a Jungle set with Eksman and Herbzie and shows us quite how versatile he is.
No really, they are.
Another instant classic, recorded just before Skibba lost the plot (drugs are bad) not much to say about this one, it speaks for itself.
Great weekend, Liberty was on at The Junction with some mad garage playing and a SICK Original Nutter mix. Anyways, I’ve managed to miss two days of MC Week, so double post for you guys today.
Here we have the near LEGENDARY Prophecy 98 tapes. Shy FX, Skibba and Fearless headed over to Toronto, played two sets on Prophecy FM and SMASHED it.
Side A is Skibba on the warm up, side B is where it all kicks off.

Here’s a nice smooth ragga jungle mix for you. It starts out dead reggae (with some rather odd lyrics) but kicks off after a minute or two.
If you like this mix, I seriously suggest you head over to http://www.psychofreud.com/ and check out his other stuff.
As promised, here is the first installment in MC Week, it’s one of my favourite sets and should be treated with respect. Both Eksman and Shabba are firing throughout, but Shabba really steals the show toward the end.

Lets be completely honest here: Shabba D is the best jungle MC ever. Just listen to the man…
I’ve given this a hell of a lot of thought, and don’t get me wrong, Skibba’s got his place, Eksman can do his thing, but Shabba, when he’s on form (and now and again he reminds us that he can still do it), can SMASH IT UP. It’s a cold hard fact.
Download the Andy C @ Meditation set I’ve posted below, skip to 49 mins in, and just listen, Shabba will BLOW YOUR MIND.
I’m not going to go into how many bars the man has, because it would get confusing but what I will say is most of them are positive. Less of this all-too-fake “I got a gun rudebwoy” badman dumbfuckery.
Now he may be an arrogant bastard, and I’ve personally seen him cross the line (Nicky Blackmarket wouldn’t give him a reload, the man goes over and pulls it up himself), but he’s been doing this since he was 13 or something, he IS fucking good.
Go download some more of his stuff from 1997-2000 and occasionally, he’ll blow your mind.
Over the next week I’m going to be posting some of what I think are the best examples of jungle MCing out there. Look forward to it.
You’ve gotta love the ragga jungle. A healthy mix of reggae (well, ragga) and jungle, two awesome genres, a definate WIN.
I listen to a lot of mixes, and I just can’t seem to put these two down. Fresh tunes in both, well worth a download.
